They come from Germany, Latvia, Turkey, Netherlands and even from Mexico. At the Apple Developer Academy based in Naples since last year, you can find talents from all over the world and from all over Italy: 200 students, a number that is going to rise up to 400 by the end of the year. They are the students of the first european Academy where you can learn about how to develop apps, from the first stage of planning to the final distribution, educating those youngsters that are going to be leaders of what seems to be the job of the future.

A field of activity that is not merely made up of developers, let’s call them “geeks”, but also of figures more linked to design, business and marketing than to technical aspects. This is why everybody can apply to attend the Academy classes, whose educational path is planned to help not only those already skilled in terms of Information Technology, but also the students interested in working on other aspects of the world of app.

A constantly growing filed, if we think that the first App Store opened only 8 years ago with just 500 native app for iPhone. Nowadays you can find more than 2 million applications available in the App Store, with more than 250 thousand iOS developers registered in Italy alone. This is a totally new economic field that has contributed to create almost 1,2 million jobs in Europe: for instance almost 75 thousand jobs were created thanks to this economy in Italy.

Next year call for entries went online on the 21st of April and, according to it, the first test can be taken in some European cities such as London, Munich, Paris, Madrid (Milan and Naples in Italy).
