In this retirement home in Milan, rooms are filled up with coffins

Numerous coffins fill the rooms of the Pio Albergo Trivulzio, the most ancient retirement home for old people in Milan. The facility became a symbol of the healthcare emergency, on which the Public Prosecutor’s office has started an investigation, charging the General Director Giuseppe Calicchio with involuntary epidemic and involuntary murder. According to the Public Prosecutor, at least 100 guests died from Covid-19, which is an incredible number even during such an emergency.
These exclusive images of Fanpage.it show the day of a funeral home’s employee who, helped by the staff of the retirement home, has to look for “his” coffins among dozens of coffins left on the floor.
